About True Word Church

True Word Church is a vibrant, growing body of believers that has Jesus Christ as the center and the foundation of all we do. Come check us out. You will be glad you did.

True Word Church was birth in the heart of Pastor Tommy Jackson and his wife Lady Faye Jackson (Picture) over 18 years ago, while stationed in Fort Hood, TX. Over the years God has blessed the ministry from its early conception until now. Starting as a 15-minute radio program on the gospel station in Killeen, TX. God has advanced and grown the ministry over the years. Pastor and Lady Faye relocated to Columbia SC in 2009 and started an in-home Bible Study. Today God has increased the ministry and His presence in the life of this church. We are a church that is dedicated to teaching, mentoring, and preparing the next generation of believers.

What We Believe

Doctrinal Tenets of Faith are the basic principles that we hold as important and uncompromising teachings from the Scripture. Listed here are our top ten tenets of faith or sometimes they are called a “Statement of Beliefs”. Either way we have listed them here for your convenience.

We Believe

1. …in the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

2. …that there is one God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost

3. …in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His bodily resurrection, in His Ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.

4. …in the Blessed Hope, which is the Rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.

5. …that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.

6. …the regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation.

7. …that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.

8. …that the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for Him.

9. …in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by Who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.

10. …in the resurrection of both saved and lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
